If you are struggling, try practicing with the Base setup on your favorite track and when you are comfortable switch it to the Pro Physics. You will need to win one race with this selected within the Race Options to be awarded this trophy.
Pro Physics will automatically turn joint brakes off, but will not make a significant difference to your gameplay. The only difference between Pro Physics and the Base option is the Joint Brakes function. A little tip on the start is to hold &, then release as soon as the gates drop.
